The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is the central authority under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, responsible for the transparent and merit-based selection of personnel for various technical and non-technical cadres. Key roles include: * **Track Maintainer Grade-IV:** Responsible for the upkeep and safety of railway tracks, identifying breakdowns, and ensuring smooth train movement. * **Pointsman:** Operates railway switches and signals to direct trains to the correct tracks, a role critical for preventing accidents. * **Assistant Workshop/Loco Shed:** Involved in the overhauling, maintenance, and repair of diesel/electric locomotives and passenger coaches. * **Signal & Telecom Assistant:** Assists in the installation and troubleshooting of signaling devices and communication equipment. * **Hospital Assistant:** Supports medical staff in railway hospitals, ensuring patient care and cleanliness of medical facilities. **Salary and Growth:** Candidates selected for Level-1 posts receive a starting basic pay of ₹18,000 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Total monthly emoluments, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, typically range between ₹22,500 and ₹25,500. 1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

The examination consists of 100 objective-type questions to be completed in 90 minutes.

• General Science: 25 Questions
• Mathematics: 25 Questions
• General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Questions
• General Awareness & Current Affairs: 20 Questions

Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

For Male Candidates

• Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes without putting it down.
• Should be able to run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

For Female Candidates

• Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes.
• Should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
