Brief Information

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an 'Institution of National Importance,' functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India. It is the world’s first and only university dedicated to forensic and behavioral sciences. NFSU is mandated to strengthen the criminal justice delivery system by creating a highly skilled workforce of forensic experts, conducting cutting-edge research, and providing consultancy to law enforcement agencies across India and internationally. With its headquarters in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and multiple campuses across India and abroad (Uganda), it stands as a global leader in forensic education. The scientific and technical positions advertised include roles such as Deputy Director (Cyber Security/Forensic Psychology), Assistant Director (NDPS), and various Scientific Officers. These professionals are responsible for high-level forensic analysis, evidence examination, digital forensics investigation, and laboratory management. Laboratory Assistants support these processes by maintaining equipment and assisting in complex chemical and biological tests. These roles are critical for the modernization of India's internal security framework, ensuring that justice is served through scientific accuracy. The selection process is distinguished by the hierarchy of the posts: senior positions (Sr. No. 1 to 5) are selected via interview based on overall records, while junior positions (Sr. No. 6 to 8) involve a Written Test or Skill Test. This recruitment is highly prestigious for Indian nationals, offering a chance to serve in a premier central institution with competitive pay levels under the 7th Pay Commission, contributing directly to national security and forensic excellence.
