Brief Information

The High Court of Kerala, the highest judicial authority in the state, has officially announced the Kerala Judicial Service Examination 2026 to recruit qualified legal professionals for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division). As the apex body responsible for the administration of justice in Kerala and Lakshadweep, the High Court ensures that only candidates with high legal acumen and integrity join the judiciary. A Civil Judge (Junior Division) acts as a Munsiff-Magistrate, presiding over civil and criminal matters within their jurisdiction, making it a highly prestigious role in the Indian legal system. The selection process for this recruitment is rigorous, involving a three-tier system: a Preliminary Screening Test (objective), a Main Written Examination (descriptive), and a final Viva-Voce (interview). This structure ensures that candidates possess both theoretical knowledge and practical judgment skills. This recruitment is of immense importance in India as it strengthens the local judicial framework, ensuring timely delivery of justice and reducing case pendency.
