Brief Information

The Indian Army has invited online applications for Agniveer Recruitment 2026 under the Agnipath Scheme through the Common Entrance Examination (CEE). The Indian Army is the land-based branch of the Armed Forces of India and is responsible for national security, border protection, and disaster relief operations. Under the Agnipath Yojana, eligible unmarried male and female candidates from across India can apply for various posts including Agniveer General Duty (GD), Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, and Agniveer Tradesman. The recruitment process includes an Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE), Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Adaptability Test, and Medical Examination. Selected candidates will be enrolled for four years as Agniveers and will receive a fixed monthly package along with risk and hardship allowances as applicable. After completion of four years of service, up to 25% of Agniveers may be selected for permanent enrollment based on organizational requirements and performance. The remaining candidates will receive a Seva Nidhi package of approximately Rs. 10.04 lakh including interest. Selection Process & Physical Standards

1. Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

Online objective type examination based on post wise syllabus including General Knowledge, Maths, General Science and Reasoning.

2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • 1.6 Km Run: Group I - Up to 5 Min 30 Sec (60 Marks), Group II - 5 Min 31 Sec to 5 Min 45 Sec (48 Marks)
  • Pull Ups: 6 to 10 Repetitions (Qualifying with Marks)
  • 9 Feet Ditch: Qualifying
  • Zig-Zag Balance: Qualifying

3. Medical Examination

  • Minimum Height: As per region
  • Chest: 77 cm + 5 cm expansion (For GD)
  • Medical standards as per Indian Army rules.
