Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a prestigious Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has announced a massive recruitment drive for Graduate Apprentice Trainees for the 2026-27 session. This recruitment aims to engage 608 young and energetic engineering graduates across various disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineering. As a Maharatna company, HPCL plays a vital role in India's energy sector, operating numerous refineries and a vast network of pipelines and marketing infrastructure. The primary responsibility of selected candidates will be to undergo one year of rigorous apprenticeship training, providing them with hands-on industry exposure in high-tech petroleum environments. The selection process for HPCL Apprentice 2026 is highly transparent and merit-oriented. There is no written examination or interview; instead, candidates are shortlisted based on their aggregate marks in their qualifying engineering degree. This merit-based approach ensures that academically strong candidates from across India get an equal opportunity to start their careers with a leading PSU. 1. Selection Process

The selection is purely based on the merit of marks obtained in the qualifying degree (B.E./B.Tech).

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on their aggregate percentage.
• Verification: Shortlisted candidates must attend Document Verification.
• Medical & Police Check: Final selection is subject to medical fitness and police verification.

2. Eligibility Criteria

• Passing Year: Degree must be completed on or after 01-04-2023.
• Minimum Marks: 60% for UR/OBC-NC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD.
• NATS Registration: Mandatory registration on NATS 2.0 portal is required.

Note: The apprenticeship duration is 1 year only. Successful completion may provide grace marks in future HPCL recruitments.
