Exam Schedule

• Paper II (Classes VI–VIII): Morning, 09:30 AM – 12:00 Noon

• Paper I (Classes I–V): Evening, 02:30 PM – 05:00 PM

Mode of Application

• Application is online only through https://ctet.nic.in

• Upload scanned photograph and signature and keep Confirmation Page for record

Examination Fee

• General/OBC (NCL): ₹1000 (one paper) / ₹1200 (both papers)

• SC/ST/Differently Abled: ₹500 (one paper) / ₹600 (both papers)

• Fee is non-refundable

Eligibility

• As per NCTE norms for teachers of Classes I–VIII

• Relaxation up to 5% in qualifying marks for reserved categories

Exam Pattern

• MCQ-based, no negative marking

• Paper I: Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics, EVS, Language I & II (150 marks)

• Paper II: Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics & Science or Social Studies, Language I & II (150 marks)

Qualifying Marks

• 60% or above to qualify CTET

• CTET qualification is mandatory eligibility, not a guarantee of employment

Validity

• CTET certificate is valid for lifetime

• No limit on number of attempts

Admit Card & Result

• Admit card to be downloaded online

• Marksheet and eligibility certificate will be issued digitally via DigiLocker
