Selection Process & Pay Scale

1. Selection Mode

Selection is based on a Personal Interview. If many applications are received, a screening test may be held to shortlist candidates.

2. Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be placed in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix:

  • Scientific Officer-E: Level 12 (Basic Pay ₹78,800 + Allowances)
  • Scientific Officer-D: Level 11 (Basic Pay ₹67,700 + Allowances)
  • Scientific Officer-C: Level 10 (Basic Pay ₹56,100 + Allowances)

Medical officers are also eligible for Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) as per rules.
